Shared at RBESG 2023. Golden color. Apples, light caramel, clove in aroma. Taste is very sweet, alcoholic with apples. Nice.

Bottle at RBESG GT 2023. High sweetness, balanced by moderate warmth, rather low balancing bitter and tart apple character. It is very tasty because it is very sweet, but lacks a bit of finesse. Good but not great.

Tasting at Matt’s; vintage 2011, 9% ABV
Golden color, a bit dull. Strong notes of caramelized apple juice. Sweet apple juice flavor, a bit of stewed apples, moderate sourness. No real depth, but pretty good.

375mL bottle, pours a clear dull golden / bronze with a tiny white head. Aroma is rich as hell, with butterscotch, toffee, and caramelized apple. Flavour isn't as rich, featuring notes of butterscotch, caramelized apple, and a touch of alcohol. Lovely warming effect, with a caramel and toffee finish. Really lovely stuff.

Recolte 2011. Thanks, ineedbeer. The cider is a light caramel amber color. It’s quite clear. Still. The aroma is full of caramel and fairly simple apple sweetness. It’s smells like a rich but quite sweet apple pie. Some apple skin character. Mild earthy quality. Taste is quite sweet. Lots of caramel. The apple flavor opens up some as it warms, and there’s some, well, warmth to it. Mild to moderate booze. Nice enough ice cider but not in the top tier for me.

2011 bottle courtesy of tom10101. Aroma has a lot of apple character. Some candied notes and caramel with some decent spice. Pours a perfectly clear, brilliant, sparkling gold with no head or lacing. Nice, long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with a nice apple note. Some caramel and candied apple notes with some light spice. Finish is a bit flat compared to better ciders. Mouthfeel is somewhat silky but a bit crisp with some stickiness on your lips. Low astringency and alcohol warmth. Overall, its delicious but not the best or most complex cider. Lots of apple upfront and in the aroma but the finish is mostly spice and caramel.

A pale golden cider with a rather funky apple aroma, earthy, dirty. In mouth, a lighter bodied sweet ice cider, with sour apples, light astringence, not bad. Mondial des cidres de glace, Feb. 12 2011.
