Entered to celebrate my 8300th Rating. Thanks a lot Fonefan. @ RBESG, London 2011. Pours cloudy golden with a fluffy white head. Horse manuer, cellar, barnyard, fruity orange. Crisp, funky and dry. Smooth and refreshing. BOOM! Bottle @ Too many geuze’s only one toilet, Ulfborg 2012. Citrus, leather and very crisp. A bit of svovl and manuer. Boom again. 4,3 again.

Bottle shared at August tasting for bleengs 1000th rating. Pours a cloudy orange with medium creamy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is floral hop and sour fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a light dry fruit and lingering sour finish. Very impressive lambic from 3 Fonteinen.

Appearance: Hazy golden with a big white head and good lacing
Aroma: Barnyard and wet blanket
Taste: Mouthfeel was ’lively’ with tons of carbonation, just jumping all over the tongue. Tart fruit, grapes, spices with a dry finish
Awesome. We had Zomer a few beers after Lente, I preferred this beer.

75 cl bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting, held at Dean Swift. Cheers to Fonefan for this one! Funky nose, paper, dust, lemon. Raw and funky as ass. Glowing orange color with lace. Nose is fragrant and original. Very acidic, funky flavor with lemon and a good amount of sweetness. Great, very approachable. Wonderful balance and very original flavors. Sweat, leather. One beer that lives up to the hype.

Bottle shared by cquiroga (thanks!). Pours with a hazed golden-orange body with a white head. Aromas are amazing! Huge funk, white wine, lactic, peaches, stone fruit, acidic, hay, straw, grassy. Interesting esters, apple, pear, apricot. Very complex. Deep funk. Flavors show a large amount of acidity, and a very deep funk. Some white wine, stone fruit. A light, slightly contrasting malty sweetness that adds to the complexity (nearly like a light caramelization that only serves to balance). Fruity, yogurt/lactic acid. Light oak. Light, tart, complex. Lively bubbles, very dry. Amazing!

Scopeys East Croydon tasting. Big thanks to Paul for bagging this one and sharing it! Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Mildly sour nose. Crisp dry palate. Mild woody and mild fruity sourness - trace of vinegar. Trace of white wine. Dry finish. Ok - there was much serious nodding of heads going on for this one from people I respect and who know beer, whereas yours truly was mostly scratching his. I mean I like this beer and I would happily have it again but I’m not getting this upper 4 wow factor at all. If I live to be a 100 - I may never fully understand this style!

Bottle at my East Croydon tasting. It pours hazy copper, with a thick foamy white head and high carbonation. The nose is grass, floral, farmyard, sweet strawberry, green apple and lemon. The taste is tart lemon, Granny Smith apple, lemon sherbet, white currant, tart white grape, strawberry sweetness, floral and grass. It is complex, yet is still subtle and delicate. The balance is really as good as it gets, with lots of tart, juicy fruit upfront which slowly fade out towards the finish. Fresh, crisp and utterly drinkable. Wow. Truly a spectacular gueuze.

Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. Scopey quickly becoming legend. Pours cloudy gold with a delicate, white foam head. Rich grass aroma with leather and faint lemon. Flavor is quite exquisite, extremely clean and fresh, lots of grass, sour, modest zesty lemon. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Super clean finish, more grass, some tart citrus, low acidity, hints of white grapes. Just incredibly drinkable, grassy and fresh with cleansing sourness. Superb. (4.7)
Bottle at RBWG. Brad is the man. Yep, as good as last time. (4.7)
