Draft - Flowery sweet wheat, lemon and sweet herbal notes. Clear gold with a rich white head. Very sweet, lightly tart lemon. Lots of citrus but more candy like.

(tap) clear, yellow colour with a small, white head; aroma has hint of funk, sourness, then lilies; clean, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice herbaceous malt with light acidity, light cloves, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet herbaceous malt with light lemon, light sourness, Epsom salts, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a nice pure white foamy head. Aroma of tart notes with some musty and soapy notes which don’t really works that well for me. Taste is also dominated by tart notes with a significant soapy and musty undertones which is just too dominant. Body is about average with good carbonation. Seems I am bit against the grain on this one but I thought there was too many musty and soapy notes for this beer to be enjoyable.

On tap at Indie. Honestly this is the beer that got me through the door. A soured Belgian wheat? I had to give it a try. I’ve met enough sour Belgians (you know who you are) that I would like to wish into the wheat field (I know the reference is cornfield) that this seemed right up my alley. Pour a nice golden colour with about one finger of white head. Smells of citrus, vanilla, and soft malts. Taste isn’t very sour, must have had only a couple of months of bugging, and it come through more with a complimentary sourness that support lemons and tangerine flavours, which sits atop the general malty wheatiness of this beer. Not a bad beer. I’m loving Indie’s and Bellwood’s bug-love as they give everything a brett-ing. Thanks.

(On tap at the brewpub, May 7 2014) Pours a bright, quite hazy yellow gold with a small white ring of bubbles. Aroma pretty sour and fruity, grapefruit juice, tropical fruit, lightly spicy, wheat, a fair bit of Brett, and maybe some bacteria? Flavour followed the nose quite well, quite sour-tart at first,grapefruit/pineapple juice along with some other fruit. A bit of light peppery spice and maybe some wood is apparent towards the finish, sourness recedes a bit, Brett, wheat. A bit too grainy when warm, but good cold. Light-medium body, soft carb. Really really drinkable, it just disappeared but quenched thirst as it went. Fairly complex but not overdone, really nice sour, needs a sunny patio.
