Run of the mill apa. Hops lean more towards pine than citrus, and the malts are a little too upfront. Instead of creating balance I mind the malt takes over in the end. The finish is clean, medium bitter, with some grassy pine notes, and some serious caramel malts. Good, not great.

Canned, from LCBO, Ottawa. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Aroma of caramel and Earl Grey tea. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded. Very caramelly with lots of tea, some grapefruit. Mid bitter finish with some resin. Unrefined.

This pale ale poured a medium amber colour with a foamy, bright white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include light grass, bread and a little citrus. First swig has a slightly thin mouthfeel with medium/low carbonation and flavours of hay, toast and a little honey. Finish was hoppy and bitter with hay flavours lingering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from LCBO. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain, musty orange and red apple. Flavour of mashed pear, tonic water and a hint of orange pith. Thin body with a thin, frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Forgettable and bland.

Pours a hazy light golden-amber colour with some particles running through it. A warm frothy cap with good retention and good lacing. Nice graimy cereal malt aromas with some soft hops. Bread malt taste with some hints of caramel and light hops in the finish. Decent bitterness, but not much dryness as everything seems watered down. Lots of caramel comes out in the nose after breathing. Good as a refreshing Pale Ale.

Can: Poured a clear light amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of medium citrus hops notes with some dry caramel malt is pretty enticing. Taste is also a good and refreshing mix between some dry caramel malt with some floral citrusy hops notes with balanced bitterness level. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Good drinkability but maybe missing a little bit of the hops punch I was expecting.

Damn it! Another point for the East. Freaky_tiki beat me by minutes, again. And was it worth it? The Side Launch crew has popped out another one, I guess moving north and changing names is inspirational. The beer looks good, lovely caramel brown colour, with a finger of white head. Good looking pale ale. Good smell too, lots of caramal malts and a little toasted marshmallow. Good flavour too. Mostly malts - cereal, caramel with some hoppy bitterness that hangs to the finish. Mmmmmm. solid brew.

Can from the brewery. Clear orange amber with a small lasting off white head. Nose is primarily caramel with a light floral hop and some spice. Light sweet caramel and honey at the from with a medium bitter middle and end and light pepper in the finish. Medium slick body with soft carbonation and a long finish. Just OK.
