Bottle on 26th October 2025 from JDS via Deliveroo. Pours an inky black with dull tan foam and scant lacing. Earthy peat, dark chocolate and smoky spices in aroma. Intense roastiness in-mouth with tangy spices, coffees and bitter chocolate. A satisfying roasty finish. Medium to full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury's Broadstairs. Pours pitch black, good tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of dark chocolate, woody suggestions. Classic stout profile with soft woody roast, bitter dark malts, coffee hints with a medium body. Ace.

0.5 l bottle from 'Trinkgut Knödgen', best before February 2024. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut, some oats and a touch of raisins. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty, a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, lots of coffee, roasted hazelnut, some licorice and a touch of raisins, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good Stout, hard to believe it's only got 5.2% abv. Benchmark stuff.

From keg. Smell of roasted malt, coffee. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of coffee, forasted malt, dark chocolate. Soft creamy palate. Soft carbon. Mildly bitter, medium sweet.

Barwa niemal czarna, klarowne, piana jasnobeżowa, średnio obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie kawa, paloność, gorzkie kakao. W smaku wytrawne, mocno palone, czarna kawa, sporo kwaśności, gorzkie kakao. Gorczka do wysokiej, wysycenie średnie, ciało w normie. Konkretny, prawdziwy stout.
