"High quality belgian blond beer, masterpiece from the masterbrewers at Leffe". Refined bitterness and delicate hops aromas. Charles Nouwen, brewmaster of Leffe, traveled the world in search of the best hops. Whitbread Golding Hops is grown in the Poperinge region of Belgium. Leffe Royale Whitbread Golding is the original recipe for Leffe Royale, launched in 2012. Its delicate bitterness with citrus and resinous notes, reminiscent of that of banana or vanilla, as well as flowery aromas define this exceptional beer.

Pours light pale golden. Large dense ivory head. Intense aromas of spruce, peppermint, juniper, pie. Powerful, sizzling. Sheer bitterness, long-lasting finish.

Foam: creamy white head Colour: dark golden to amber Aroma: floral, a bit yeasty, spicy, sweet corn, bit grassy Taste: almost similar like Leffe blonde, but more creamy, sweet, medium to light body, green banana, vanilla and caramel, a bit of bitter, well balanced beer for a good price but nothing too special

On tap at Brussels Hilton. Poured very cold. Hardly any aroma. Prune juice colour with scummy tan head. Slight tingle in the mouth, raisins and currents in the taste. Like a liquid fruitcake. The alcohol is well hidden in this one. Spices appear as it warms. Superb and dangerously drinkable.

Flaska inköpt på Bryssels flygplats. Gyllengul med drag åt rött. Doftar jäst, damm och bananer. Söt smak. Jästen återkommer tillsammans med dadlar.

Much like the blonde. Slightly more bitter and with a touch more of a sour aftertaste. Very nice.

Helder donker geel/goudkleurig bier met schuim. Smaak is kruidig en licht zoet met sporen van banaan en drop. Blijft lang hangen. Erg goed.

Part of this years "Our best of Belgium" Christmas pack with 3 brews and 3 glasses. Pours a clean rich golden-amber colour with a decent head in the Leffe Chalice with some nice lacing. Aromas of fresh hay, bananas and caramel. Dryness in the nose from the alcohol and yeast. The taste is balanced between the grain, caramel, grass, spices and background of mineral water. Interesting and nice black classy bottle, but not as good as some other Leffe.
