Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki in July 2011. Copper with a large head. The aroma reminded a bit of a Barley Wine, so not your typical DIPA. Not that fruits in the taste, but a lot of toffee. Still a descent beer, but quite special indeed.

Paper covered 375mL bottle pours murky copper – brown with full tall creamy tan head. The aroma has smooth soft wood notes, sweet citrus and some malts. These aromatics seem harmonious and inviting. The taste is similar with smooth wood, smooth spicy oak and firm varied citrus hop notes. The hops and smooth oak head into the finish with a slippery smooth ease. This is yummy.

I believe the bottle said WoodWork Series Base. The colour to me was perfect. A pretty mix of yellow, orange and amber. Hard to describe. Taste and smell are decent. Mouthfeel ruins it a bit for me. Lots and lots of large CO2 bubbles.

Bottle imbibed at the CP&K. Amber purr (sorry) with a beige head. Full on bitter-citrus nose. Fruit burst up the nasal passage! Bitter citrus flavours with a splash of wet wood and marmalade. Bitter fruit finish .Huge alcohol burn. Screams ’sip slowly and take your time!’.

It’s been awhile since I tasted this beer. I remember the smell being very very good. I believe it had a nice bitter, pretty hoppy taste though not as much as some other IPAs.

Copenhagen beer festival. Amber beer with a reasonable head. Unusual beer. A litte bit tart and a little bit syrupy. A small amount of citrus acidity. Warming!
31st January 2011
Piney spirity nose. Slightly dry palate. Pine and sweet orange, a little aniseed. Mild hop bitterness. Hides the alcohol reasonably well but a strange concoction.

Bottle at CP&K. It pours hazy deep orange, with a thick off-white head. The nose is wood, caramel, resin, farmyward and little tropical citrus. The taste is orange, mango, lemon, lime, pineapple, sweet caramel, resin, wood, soap and ginger, with a citrus-bitter finish. This is quite a thick and meaty IIPA to be enjoyed in small doses.

Bottle at 4:20. Clear, vibrant, dark gold pour with a sturdy, white head. Light pine, hop aroma, some mild grass and cat pee. Lightly sweet, plenty of grass and mild resin. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, lingering piss and grass. Nice beer.
