Bottled at Belgobaren, STockholm. Clear nut brown, brief head. Raisiny malty nose with some peppery alcohol. Sweet and vinous, with slimmer body than expected for a 10% beer. Somewhat fruity with light almondy notes. Salty finish with a touch of spicy bitterness. Interesting nose, but I’d like more character in a beer of this size.

Bright brown sugary colour. Aroma of peach, dates and brown sugar. The body is thin and simple for a beer this size. Only a slght hint of alcohol. Soft dark fruit notes. Too sweet and one-dimensional. Less than the sum of its parts, and that’s due to lack of bottleconditioning.

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, small beige head. Aroma is raisins, malts and yeast. Flavour caramel malts, alcohol and some yeasty notes. The alcohol is hidden quite well, but has a little "stingy peak", which does fit in well with the flavour.

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Clear, reddish brown beer with a dense, lasting, beige head. Dried fruits (prunes), sweetness, some alcohol, cellar and green apples in the aroma. The flavor has alcohol, dried fruits, baked apples, caramel, candisugar and raisins. Nice carbonation and sweetness in the mouthfeel. Nice hoppy and spicy finish. Quite complex and definately one of the best Grimbergens. (060823)

Test vom 17.2.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,6,8,7,12,7 - 7,85

Bottle. Nice reddish/brown color. Medium head that reduces to a thin creamy head that lasts. Goes down easily despite the 10% . Sweet taste and malty aroma. Ii liked it a lot
