A Classic since 1987
Balance is what makes our Boont Amber Ale so unique: rich, crystal malts give this beer a deep copper hue and contribute a slight caramel sweetness while the herbal, spicy bitterness from carefully selected whole-cone hops impart a crisp, clean finish. Hints of sun toasted grain, toffee, and fruity esters compliment the mellow, noble hop aroma.

I got this in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John!
It pours a reddish gold with about a 1/2 inch head of foam. The foam doesn't hang around for very long and there's not much lacing.
The smell is of caramel malt and hop bitterness and is about equal in proportion.
The taste is of caramel malt, roasted malt, some bread, and midway through and through the finish, there's a nice hop bite that gives a nice balance to the over all flavour but it's still slightly on the sweet side and, for me, it works nicely. Amber/Reds that are tasty enough to keep me interested for the entire session aren't all that easy to find for my palate but this one fits the bill. I recommend it because it's tasty and it's a good brew to session.

Hazy amber to copper, lasting small off-white head. Red fruits, toasty malts, light hops, very fruity. Mostly dry with some malty sweetness. Medium body, creamy texture, moderate carbonation, dry aromatic finish. A good example of the style.

On tap at the Blind Tiger, Greenwich Village on 11th July 2016. Coppery amber with shallow decaying off/white foam and spot lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Burnt toffee, and biscuit malt in-mouth, with a touch of plum. Tangy fruitiness over malt in the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.
