Hazy grapefruit juice colour topped by a frothy, long-lasting head. Nose is fresh citrus. Predominant tastes include citrus fruits especially lemon and orange, a touch of green apple and a slightly candied sweetness. This rolls out on a very appropriate bready malt body. The heavy carbonation pumps up the refreshing fruitiness of this APA. Some bitterness emerges as you work your way down the bottle. An odd beer to be drinking in the depths of a frigid Canadian winter, but I’m likin’ it nonetheless.

650ml bomber from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, big rocky white head, loads of lacing. Medium hoppy nose, nothing crazy. Some citrus, fresh cut grass, some cereals. Good body and mouth feel, carb is spot on, finish is on the high end of bitter, pithy grapefruit rind bitter, and it lingers, and the hops fade fast, meh.

Canadian APA with extremely thick and rocky, frothy, snow white head, leaving thick foamy lacing around the edges of the glass; hazy ’old gold’ colour with dark yeast particles suspended in it. Fruity, spicy and hoppy aroma of dried grapefruit peel, acacia honey, lemon blossom, dry cookies, raspberry, minerals, white bread, paper, melon, apple cake, chamomille, freshly cut weeds. Crisp flavour, restrainedly fruity, dried apricot, sour berry accent, medium carbonation, bit minerally, bready malts underlying, umami accent of green olives somewhere in the middle, long earthy, spicy, resiny bitter hop finish, quenching and satisfying. Well-made and balanced APA, a good introduction to the style, I would argue.

How could I not like this one? Hazy blonde, thin head. Fruity, orangey creamsicle character. Medium bitterness, fresh hoppy and citric bitter finish. Good balance.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a nice foamy head with great retention and some good lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus notes is quiet pleasant with some resin notes also noticeable. Taste is also a mix of citrus and resin with balanced bitterness level and light malt presence. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed APA with nice hops kick and good drinkability.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear light amber with a small white head. Nose is tropical fruit with light grass and some toffee. Lightly sweet malt front with a medium bitter grapefruit and pine middle. Medium light mouth with soft carbonation - a bit thin. Quite sessionable.

Single bomber from the LCBO. Pours a medium golden colour with a frothy white cap, good retention and loads of foamy lace. Average hoppy nose of citrus and grass at first. Then, cereal grain appears. Nice bitterness in the mouth with a little dry finish and bitterness gaining ground in the aftertaste. Refreshing overall, this is a nice American Pale Ale.
