Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA - its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Slightly hazy amber golden with a tiny, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel, overripe fruit and aroma hops. Quite full-bodied with notes of overripe fruit and then a distinct, bitter finish. 290407

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice foamy head with slightly better then average retention. Aroma consists of medium bitter hops with some very subtle citrus flavour. Taste is a mix between some caramel malt with some medium bitter and citrus hops. Body is about average with some medium carbonation. I was expecting a hop bomb based on the description of the beer which mentions triple hops IPA and it seems I got a light IPA.

Pale amber, clear beer with a small white head. Hopburst, dry grapey hops, hop bales, hopdust, hopoily, hop...anything. Very hoppy taste (surprise, surprise,...) grapes again and again hopbales. Some dry cookies underslung. Rest is orange zeste oils. And hops. Medium bodied, and oily MF from the hopoils. A bit too typical - which does not mean bad. By any means.

Bottle. Amber, low head. Peach and nektarine hop aroma. Sweet perfumed and fairly fruity notes carry over into the flavor. Fairly light body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Orangepeel aftertaste.

Pour is a copper with a small white head. Aroma is nice fresh floral hops with lots of citrus. Flavor is also excellent. Very sugary snd sweet but does not get in the way. Hops are a presence leaving and nice citrus-fruityness on the tounge. Very well done IPA.

An orange beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet grapefruity combined with notes of pine and caraway seeds. The flavor is sweet with a crisp toffee background on which are lots of hops and grapefruit notes. Nice.

Another excellent beer by Clipper City. This is a very, very hoppy beer that tastes like a good IPA times two. Very little to describe it apart from the excellent flavour of hops. As always, Clipper City makes the high alcohol content subtle and hard to notice, but reawrding at the end. I like this beer so much that after buying the first bottle, I cam back and purchased four more.

Bottle. Grapefruit hops aroma with hints of orange and pineapple. Medium amber color with small head. Taste primarily slightly sweet grapefruit hops with bitterness lingering long after swallowing. Definitely a hops lover beer.

Slightly hazy, bright copper body, thin off-white head. Rindy citrus and pine hops aroma backed by toast and alcohol. The body is a sweet bouquet of grapefruit, pine, and perfumey hops in a matrix of light, sweet breads. Grassy finish, bitter but not palate-devouring, with touches of clover honey lingering on the palate. Nice, soft body. Well-done. Thanks xproudfoot!
