Poured a golden yellow with almost no head from the bottle. Very interesting hop aroma, fruity, piney and sweet. The hop complexity in the initial flavor is astounding. This beer hits all areas of your palate. It’s sweet, it’s a little sour, there’s a hint of malt. The hop flavor is really unique, must be from the Chinook hops. Flavor hides the heavier than usual alcohol as well. A little astringent on the finish, but the complexity of this beer and the different hop profiles it provides make this worth a sip.

[Bottled, thanks chris_o!] Clear amber, small creamy head. Powerful citric grapefruit aroma. Sweet, fruity, chewy and caramelly with full body. Medium bitterness. An IPA dominated by aromatic hops.

Cloudy, light orange pour with soft, white head that doesn’t last long. Flowery bouquet with grapefruit and orange aroma filling in around the edges. Faint smell of toast, plastic. The flavor is full of hops, nicely balanced. Juicy, spicey, citrusy — orange peel, grapefruit, perfume. Not overly bitter. Peppery finish. The medium body is moderately sticky leaving an aftertaste of light floral soap.

On tap in a shaker. Nice gold color. Grapefruit aromas and flavors. Tingly palate with strong bitter finish.

Copper-golden, tending more towards golden, with pale lemon-lime tints. Head is large and fluffy, a well-retained off-white, with fair lacing. Lightly hazy, with plenty of bubbles rising vigorously
The nose has plenty of dry citrus fruits (lemons, limes, white grapefruits) opening up the receptors as smooth carapils notes sneak in and lightly sweetne things. Munich hops are reserved in the nose, thankfully (who needs sourness/biscuity astringency in an IPA?) while light herbal spices, white pepper even and just an all out fade to floral. Warming allows more caramel and lightly spicy chinook hops to emerge, with some bare resin on the end.
The flavor is probably its strongpoint, though I must admit to being more in to the more balanced nature of the samples I had at Kennett. Seems on the verge of being too dry and citrusy now. But a lush wintergreenish-note extracted from the heavy floral and even mildly nectarine or tangerine-like hoppiness, mixes with a perfectly honeyish (in flavor and texture) carapils maltiness. I think I want to be carapils malt when I grow up. I think I might be a little bit biased to that one, but it is just so smooth in texture, supple and sweet without being heavy. Pillowy, you might say and a great balance to floral hops (though heavy pine or citrus overwhelms it). This nearly overwhelms it, but still remains drinkable and near balanced, with no alcohol notes. Low carbonation keeps things creamy.

Poures a nice golden color with a small head. Had a nice aroma of citrus and hops as well as some pine lurking in the background. The taste was classic IPA. Had some tasty grapefruit and floral notes along with an enjoyable matliness to it. Finished with a nice hop bitter end. A very nice IPA

Bottle. Pretty good beer I must say. Copper, golden, amber color, slightly thick white head. Not bad flavor. nice finish.
