Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA - its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

Draught. Slight hops aroma, light amber color, small off-white foamy head, slightly sweet hoppy taste, low carbonation, long finish with moldy aftertaste. The aftertaste ruins the beer a bit.

Extremely satisfying IPA, floral citrusy hop aroma, was this dry-hopped? Beautiful deep golden color with a creamy head, yet there is a good balance of malt to round it out. Excellent example of the style.

Nice and smooth IPA, light amber with thin soapy of-white head. Just enough hops for flavor without taking away from the malt. Malt and hops blend well in the aroma and taste, mild astringent finish

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright orange amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, light mango, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good complexity of bright citrus hop and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, light mango, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange/lemon zest, light mango, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of citrus hop and moderate malt flavors; with a great hop/malt flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. All around good balance and complexity of citrus hop and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
