A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, loads of graham cracker, sweet caramel chocolate, light coffee grind, nutty notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light graham crackers, vanilla extract, butterscotch notes, pleasant. Cask at Arrow and Loon.

Pours a dark brown colour with a small head and minimal lace. Chocolate malt aromas with smooth cocoa powder and hints of vanilla. Roasted malts with mild chocolate ones and cherry notes. Burnt malt lingers. The mouthfeel has a little tart on the tongue. Good brew, but not really a s’more. Chocolate stout at the most.

Draft - Coconut, marsh mellow and chocolate syrup. Jet black with a decent white head. Sweet chocolate syrup and a long sweet finish. Light bitterness and a long finish.

(On tap at Bar Hop, June 19 2014, as Indie x Sawdust City Camp Out S’more Stout) Pours very deep brown, almost black, dark red highlights, small tan head. Aroma quite sweet, lightly toasted, burnt sugar, kind of chocolate cookie, bit of graham cracker, definitely s’moreish. Quite sweet at first on the palate, chocolate, vanilla-ish, marshmallow, lightly toasty, bit of graham cracker. Kind of fades out rather than being malty though, watery taste to finish without a lot of punch, faintly roasty, lots of graham cracker in the finish which is otherwise weak. Body fairly light and average for a stout, watery, little carb - wanted a thicker, syrupy rich stout because if it’s gonna taste like a s’more it may as well be indulgent. This didn’t really come together for me - nose was bang on but while it drank fine it wasn’t really something I’d seek out.

On tap at Indie on June 21. On the board as Camp Out S’More Stout. As a colab with Sawdust City. So I’m hoping this the same beer. Looking at other’s ratings looks in-line. Pours just like you’re expect for a stout, with half a finger of head, that works down to minor sheeting. Smells of lots of toasted malt and hay. The taste is toast, burn marshmallows, and what I assume is the graham, which comes off like, and I know this is weird, but like the dusty, hot smell your skin has after being in out in the sun for a while. I know, not the best description, but that’s all I got. I like this beer. It has some decent drinkability.
