On tap at volo.
Decent amount of piney hops and some light bready malts in the nose. The flavor is quite maltier than i expected. Some evident caramel malts, with more of the piney hops. Medium bitter finish, quie quenching, and a good solid beer.

Can: Poured a light copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light citrusy notes with grainy malt notes. Taste is also dominated by light citrusy notes with grainy malt bill and some light bitter finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. I thought the hops profile fell short for the style.

Poured from the tap. Clear, light medium orangey brown with off white head. Piney, grassy hops with mild citrus hops, subtle caramel malt, a bit watery. Dryish finish.

This ale poured a medium amber colour with a off white, foamy head. Scents include malt, light caramel, honey and hops. First sip was a little sweet. Flavours of grass, honey and toast. Finish is hoppy with a medium bitterness.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a clear amber colour with fluffy-creamy warm cap that stays quite long and leaves very good amounts of soapy thick lacing. Aromas of butterscotch with mild hops, rusty water notes and some bread. The hop give a nice sharp edge of bitterness at first in the taste, with the caramel lingering in the finish. Seems like the grass comes back after that. A beautiful-looking, well-blended Pale Ale with some decent bite.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a very clear deep amber with a small off white head. Nose is grass, pine and light citrus with some toffee notes. Nice and bitter throughout with only a hint of malt sweetness. Grapefruit and spice in the long dry finish. Medium mouth with active carbonation. Quite good.

pours amber gold. Pretty good lacing but no head retention. The smell is mild but theres some honey malt there. Taste is pretty bitter. This is a little better than the stout i remember having from these guys. The bitterness has a lot of staying power on palate. On tap at volos

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin off-white head. Aroma of light hops, a touch of malt and a good amount of caramel and other sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Bright floral and piney hops showing through with a good malt backbone and a touch of earth and nuts on the end. Aftertaste shows more hops than malt, as expected, with a little sweetness and more than a little alcohol on the end. Overall, a nice APA, definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this pint on draught at barVolo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 10-October-2009.
