Backlog September 2011. Close to black body under a small beige head. Nice aroma of dark roasted malt, whisky, some coffee and elegant peat. Taste is sweet, dark roasted malt, peat, mild whisky, coffee, nice bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasting, pleasant aftertaste.

Ink black colour with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, peaty notes, wood, whiskey, a little smoke. Flavour is roasty, whiskey, with a long bitter aftertaste. Another stellar BA brew from Emelisse.

From tap @ BBF 2010. Dark chocolate and peated whisky notes in the aroma. Very sweet, malty flavor with candied sugar and the peated whisky notes of authentic Bowmore. Oaky. Excellent!

Bottle shared at home courtesy of Maakun. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, blueberries, peat, salmiak, whisky, marzipan, cocoa powder, charcoal. Big sweet and roasty bitter. Full body, oily and soft carbonation. Lovely. --- Beer merged from original tick of White Label Imperial Russian Stout Bowmore Barrel Aged on 30 Nov 2017 at 01:06 - Score: 8. Bottle shared, big thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle. Black with quite big light brown head. Sweet nuts, roasted malts, ash, licorice, light peat, vanilla, whisky, fudge, marzipan, light flowery which is not so different from Bowmore which can be so flowery too, dark chocolate, soft herbs, marzipan. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with thick feel and low carbonation, and that two yeasts after the best before date! Lovely lovely beer.

Draught @ De Arendsnest, Amsterdam
Aroma has sweet licorice tones, whisky and somewhat strong peat. Flavour has strong peaty notes, some licorice and mild licorice root notes. A peat overdose, but I like it.
