Hot on the heels of the beer we made in Sweden comes our return collaboration with Hazy IPA masters Stigbergets of Gothenburg. Our friend, Stigbergets lead brewer (and Huddersfield ex-pat) Oli joined us for another juicy and hazy brew. In addition to our house malt the beer uses lots of Oats for a soft mouthfeel and some Rye to add body. The hopping features a combination of CTZ, Simcoe, Mosaic and Vic Secret for layers of fruit goodness, and the London Fog yeast gives a slightly sweet finish and ‘pop’ like drinkability.

Can from Tesco Supermarket, Salford. Hazy golden colour with a thick frothy head. Has quite an oily texture and mouthfeel, which subdues some of the various citrus flavoured fruits in this one. Its strength probably impacts to an extent in the same way - nevertheless there's a good palatability about this one and gets flavoursome in its aftertaste.

Can sourced from Tesco, drunk at home in Streatham, London (31/10/2022) - Juicy fruity with some pithy citrus rind bitterness, some tangerine and peachy notes, breads sweet malts, piney bitter hoppy finish. Ok supermarket beer.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the Big Tesco in Hackney Central. Pours lightly hazed gold with a fluffy, white topping. Moderate sweetness, notes of tangerine, pine, pale bread, low bitterness, orange rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more citrus rind, mellow piney bitterness, supportive pale malts. A rather nice NEIPA.

440ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A firm white head over a cloudy, dark golden body, clingy lacing. Promising juicy malts on the nose with a hints of lemon. Blended taste of lemon, pineapple and bread, mild malty sweetness beneath. Rounded juicy ending, neither bitter nor sweet. Decent stuff. (Tromsø 27.09.2022).

440ml can. Pours slightly hazy burnt gold with a large head. Aroma is dusty tropical fruit and tea. Taste has tropical fruit throughout with a bitter, yeasty finish.

Candied apple and booze. Decent but not really a NE style IPA. Clear golden amber pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at salt house.
