Draught @ Grimm, NY. Smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with hints of licorice, loads of vanilla, chocolate and mild woody bourbon notes. Okay, a bit thin bodied though.

Bottle, at share, thanks to Ryan. Pours colaesque black. Bourbon, roast, soy sauce, dark chocolate, oak, rich umami, prune. Medium body. Good.

Bomber split at Philippe tasting. 2016 Vintage. Somehow a gusher! Black syrup with no head. Nose is soy sauce, mocha, basic chocolate, cheap coffee and no vanilla. Taste is basic soy sauce mocha, coffee, chocolate boozy, got a bit better over time with some vanilla, stale coffee, thinner than expected, okay but disappointing seeing how strong it is and the additives.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, creamy and slow to dissipate, nice lacing. Aroma is bourbon, cocoa, vanilla, roasted malts, wood, molasses. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, boozy. Full body, hot and boozy.

22 oz bottle poured, labeled November 2016. Huge thanks to Jow for sending this bottle over. A pleasant surprise, and very glad to finally try some beer from these guys. Pours a jet black, a lasting tan fizz head. A bourbon forward aroma, with some sweet chocolate impression. I thought this was going to be boozy based on the nose, but this couldn’t be much smoother, especially considering the heavy bill on it. Milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee and bourbon, all wonderfully put together. Awesome, bourbon, oak, imperial chocolate milk stout. Love it.

Bottle - Chocolate and big bourbon notes. Jet brown with a decent light brown head. Like the nose, lots of chocolate and big boozy bourbon. All them big flavours are in harmony though.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by a touch of vanilla. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of bourbon barrel character upfront, with a hint of vanilla. Heavy and bourbony, but it works. Nice stuff.

650ml bottle (thx, John P.!) shared at Brians office. Pours an almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, some athe and vanilla. Same taste. Very nice.
