Draught @ Grimm, NY. Smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with hints of licorice, loads of vanilla, chocolate and mild woody bourbon notes. Okay, a bit thin bodied though.

22 oz bottle poured, labeled November 2016. Huge thanks to Jow for sending this bottle over. A pleasant surprise, and very glad to finally try some beer from these guys. Pours a jet black, a lasting tan fizz head. A bourbon forward aroma, with some sweet chocolate impression. I thought this was going to be boozy based on the nose, but this couldn’t be much smoother, especially considering the heavy bill on it. Milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee and bourbon, all wonderfully put together. Awesome, bourbon, oak, imperial chocolate milk stout. Love it.

650ml bottle (thx, John P.!) shared at Brians office. Pours an almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, some athe and vanilla. Same taste. Very nice.
