A great idea for a beer and it was one if the better beers I’ve ever had from trafalgar. A nice hop aroma, some good orange and floral notes, good malts just and overall good English pale ale.

Bottle - 2 months old - Lots of lemon and grass, almost sour like. Hazy yellow with a very active bubbly head. Grassy hop bitterness and lemon a bit on the acidic side. The more I drink the more the sharpness declines and this turns into a perfect hot weather beer. Unfortunately it is snowing outside. I also give credit to the brewer that clearly states, harvest date and bottling date.

Bottle from LCBO
Brewed 2012.08.27, bottled 2012.09.15, bb 2013.01
Hazy or cloudy blond color, with evidently excessive carbonation, huge head. The aroma is not right; there is some nice wild strawberries (very light) with strong yeast, and some green hops. Smooth mouthfeel; strong spicy malt flavor, with a funky touch, yeasty, followed by gentle toffee; strongly bitter, although possible hop qualities have faded; long final, powerful, a bit harsh (because of the yeast too, probably).
It seems to be a rough beer; maybe the funkiness has developed unexpectedly; I’m willing to try it again, fresher.

Pretty good hoppy ale. I’m not sure if I can really detect some kind of difference between this wet hop brewing strategy. I guess the hops taste is a little fresh, but not sure if I’m just imagining that. In any case it’s pretty decent. 650 ml bottle

Originally rated January 2010 - 2009 edition in a bomber bottle. Hops were picked the same day as the beer was brewed, so must be fresh. Pours a cloudy-hazy golden-yellow colour with a big white creamy head that stays a while and leaves mini-island lacing. Lots of sediments are floating all-around. At first pour, smell like those little tart candies in a roll you get at Halloween. After that, the hop comes out, but very floral and sweet with citrus notes. Smooth and mildly watery mouthfeel with no stick. The hop is not really dominant in the taste though. Not really bitter, not really dry. Way too toned down. Good taste, but just not as punchy as one would expect. More refreshing than a hoppy brew.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, rather herbal hops with notes of cinnamon, lemon. In mouth, a malty ale with catnip herbal hops, a bit of Brett and funk, not bad. However, this is one of the ugliest label on a beer. Tasted Nov. 5 2009 with GRM and Mike H.

Bottle: Poured a murky dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light earthy hops is mildly satisfying. Taste is dominated by light grainy malt notes with floral and earthy hops notes – I would wish hops presence would have been more dominant. Body is fuller then average with good carbonation. Not bad considering some of the crap brewed by this brewer but again not really good compared to some other harvest ale out there.
