A punch in the face of fresh ginger root, and lemon aromas. Lots of soft herbs, subtle citrus, and earthy ginger round out the flavors. Low bitterness, and a warming heat finish from the ginger. Refreshing, but i could do without the heat in the end.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is unsurprisingly big ginger! The flavour is dry spicy herbal ginger with a little spicy ginger burn in the finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. As much as I love ginger, I didn’t like this enough to order a second glass.

My buddy brought this back for me from Vancouver: Phillips Ginger Beer 5% Clear orange-gold with minimal head and a fragrant ginger aroma. Medium bodied with a dry finish and big Spivey earthy ginger and honey flavor. Wow lots of ginger but just shy of over the top.

A hazed dark orange amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, lightly oxidized caramel malt with light grassy hops, light ginger, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light ginger, faint orange, nice and smooth. Bottle from LCBO.

Decent head but it fades quickly. Muddy brown body. Has a big aroma of crisp ginger, perhaps satin loveseats as well, very perfumy, very sweet. The flavour is a whole lot of ginger with just a few hints of malt, and a sour ginger finish. Very heavy on the ginger here, so if that's your thing this is a good choice. If not, it's unbalanced.

Bomber from BC Liquor Store on Hastings, Vancouver, BC. Pours hazy dark gold with a slight white head. Woooh! The ginger aroma is strong and pleasing. Med body. The flavor is lightly burning ginger. Love ginger. So many people are afraid to put in a good amount of ginger. Phillips is brave indeed. Maybe it needs a bit more malt, but maybe not. It is ginger. Wish I had some sushi and wasabi to measure this stuff against/with. Any ginger beer lover should be pleased with this.

650 ml bottle poured. Clean golden pour with a consistent fizz head. No mystery on the main extra ingrediant here. Massive ginger, with a spicy kick. Flavor is an exact match, but a little spicier. A bit soapy, ginger, semi floral. I like the spice to this. Adds to the fun. I think I want some sushi now.

Bottle - Raw ginger, a bit earthy and a tiny sweetness. Clear gold with a thin head. Tastes of raw ginger, a bit of heat but falls flat after that. There is nothing to balance this or distinguish. It doesn’t even taste like a ginger beer pop. Although if you don’t like sweet fizzy ginger drinks this may be good for you.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of ginger is quite powerful and dominate most other ingredient. Taste is dominated by a ginger burn with a lightly sweet malt base. Body is about average with good carbonation. Ginger burn is too hot for my taste and almost no floral notes can be distinguished from this overpowering ingredient.
