Wizard Wolf was the first Pale Ale we ever made, and the goal has always been the same: to brew a beer with big hop aroma, low bitterness and easy drinkability. But, we also never shy away from evolving and expanding our taste preferences and recipes, and we felt that now is the perfect time to give our trusty Pale Ale a classic update.

This new version stays true to what got us hooked in the first place: same label, same ABV, same spirit. Brewed with Simcoe, Cascade, and Amarillo hops, it's packed with aromas of grapefruit, lemon peel, and fresh cut grass, all on a crisp, dry, lightly malty base.

No haze, no fuss: just the clear, balanced, easy-drinking Pale Ale that made Wizard Wolf a favourite all those years ago.

Great juicy, green, fresh orange, sweet mandarin hop aroma. Incredibly refreshing, unbelievably drinkable. You get the benefit of the hops with low bitterness and increbile drinkability. Possibly one of the best session ales ive ever had.

Hazy golden-yellow colour with a frothy-bubbly white head, average retention and some soapy spot lacing. Citrus peel aromas with some of its juices. The taste shows the same. Some decent bitterness lingers. The dryness is not too crazy, so juicy and refreshing. A nice Pale Ale all-around.

Can thanks to William. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and floral. Slick body, grass, grapefruit pith, light bitterness, very good.

Cloudy, pale, fruity hop note. Kind of harsh and cheesy bitterness. I think I'm tasting stale bittering hops and fresh aromatic hops. Odd.

Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. Delicate aroma, stone fruits, peach, some mandarin, light tropical. The mouthfeel is very dry, rather weak, with papery malt base, corn husks, robust hopping, a bit resiny, orange oils.
Good but not the best APA.

Bottle from the brewery. Milky golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of pineapple juice, melon and nectarine. Flavour of pineapple, pine needles and sparkling water. Medium body with a creamy texture. Light fizz. A fruity, tongue tingling beer. Very nice.

It’s Thanksgiving and I’m giving thanks to all the beer I’ve been imbibing. This devil pours a cloudy yellow with a finger that sticks around with a little lacing, which I note is rather different than some of the reviewers I follow, notably Freaky_tiki and jercraigs who a year ago describe an orange-er version of this beer. The nose delivers some resin-pine hops, but not much malt. The taste delivers very similar results, with that pine, hops dominating and the malts really not doing much. Feels a bit thin, but it is a session, but the prominent hops fills it out a bit. It’s alright for a session.
