Rainier beer brings together nature’s bounty from the great Northwest. Pure spring waters combine with golden barley and verdant hops to produce a beer rich in taste and texture. Fermented slowly with a pedigree yeast culture under tightly controlled conditions, Rainier comes forth with a satisfying malty flavor over a slightly fruity background, spiced with Chinook, Mt. Hood, and Willamette hop notes.

355ml can at Pop's Pub in Lethbridge. (5.0% abv). Pours a crystal clear gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Aroma of bready pale malt and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, corn and light grassy hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Clean, refreshing and unoffensive.

16 oz. can from Las Vegas. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a bright white head and very good retention. Good lacing too. Sweet pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Lightly sweet pale malt flavor with a grainy texture. Clean and smooth. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Not bitter. A good thirst-quenching lager at a bargain price.

Backlog October 2013. Pale golden body under a fast disappearing, big, foamy head. Slightly unpleasant aroma. Taste is sweet and harsh with vegetables. Thin body. Not very nice.

12oz can pours a crystal clear gold, thick cap of white head. Nose has malt and light grasses, something a bit metallic but otherwise what you expect and what you want. Flavor is appropriately beer-y. Some grist, light dough, grass. Finishes a bit watery with some bite. This is far from bad.

12 oz. can, pours a clear piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of skunk cabbage, not much else. Flavour is lame, with skunk cabbage and straw. Very lame, cabbage-y piss lager.

Like Olympia, had from can at 5 Point Cafe in Seattle. Much better than Olympia. Very clean, refreshing, good mouthfeel. Balanced, not terribly watery even though light. I wish I could come back and have more.

Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a medium size white foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of adjunct notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is also dominated by adjunct notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Another adjunct based lager but still refreshing after a long day of hiking.
