This Pilsner is modeled after the classic bohemian Pilsners of Europe. We use high-quality Pilsner malt to lend the beer a nice delicate flavor and aroma. We add classic Czech hops to give a slightly spicy cedar nose with a light floral finish. This delicately malted, easy-drinking beer was our tribute to the 2015 World Ski Championships.

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Sauda. ABV is 4.8%, IBU 35. Clear pale golden colour, low white head. Aroma of newmown grass, also hints of decaying fruits. Medium sweet flavour, too sweet (but still with a relatively thin body) and moderate hops, not very "crisp". Nothing special here. No point in importing this to Europe.

Can. It pours an almost clear body, golden in colour and with a small white head. Some floaties. It’s rather malty on the nose, with spent grains fresh grains, something borderline butterscotch and with some hay and freshly mown grass. It’s semi dry on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Medium body. I’d prefer it more bitter and slightly drier, but the malty backdrop and the grassy, lightly piney hop flavors are just fine. It’s quite fruity too. Long fruity and sweetish finish. A decent one indeed, but I’d sure like it crisper. 160619

Pours a brilliant clear straw gold, 1 finger head of foam that lasts.

Noble hop aroma with lemon zest and a touch of biscuit.

Same goes for the taste but it has a spicier aspect to it. Easy drinking and faithful to the style. Enjoyable.

0,33 boks delt med Ovesen ombord på Fridtjofen: klar gylden med ok skum. Vegetal aroma og smak som minner om våt papp, kokte grønnsaker, blomster og litt honning.

Sample from a bottle. Pale yellow color, with a small, beige head. The nose is wheat bread, ripe apples, resin, and light floral notes. Sweet and malty flavor, with a reasonable hop kick in the finish. Light body, crisp, and a little overly acidic. This is a solid hoppy pils.

355 ml can. Clear golden body with a rather small white head. Moderate in aroma, malt, grain, fruit and a little grassy. Flavor is mild, very soft pale malt, grain, fruity and grassy/herbal hops. Medium body and mild, smooth aftertaste with decent bitterness for the style. This isn’t exactly what I expect from a traditional pilsner, too fruity and smooth, but otherwise quite nice. Easy drinkable and refreshing, actually a bit sweet but the bitterness is balancing it.
