Shaker pint draft at Rivertown Brewery & Barrel House in Cincinnati, Ohio. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma is sour, watermelon sweet and a bit of vinegar. The taste is Jolly Rancher watermelon along with a soft sour, lactic tart and additional rounded sweet watermelon to the finish. The palate is light bodied with fine carbonation and clean finish. Easy drinking, and interesting.

Pours a clear gold from a bottle, no head. Aroma is of melon, flavor is similar, tart, not overly fruited. Good beer.

Bottle: Slightly hazy dark gold with a small, off-white ring. Strong salted watermelon and rind aroma. Taste is the same...quite salty...very juicy watermelon. Not sure how it fits to style, but it IS rather refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle, undated, drunk 7/24/16.
Clear golden, light. Head recedes rapidly.
Oh boy. I can smell this beer from a mile away before even trying to. I’m sort of on the fence as to the watermelon character. It’s not saccharine-like but it’s also not overly authentic. Kind of smells like a jolly rancher. Certainly dominating. Only a faint touch of wheat behind it, with little/no lactic character.
Thankfully not as watermelony in the flavor, with more lactic character and good tartness. Wheat texture with full attenuation and light biscuit notes. Watermelon flavor again is just ok. Seems rather novel, not sure I’m in to the fruit. Seems like it would be much better without it.

Bottle, thanks Willrunforbeer. Cloudy golden color, lasting white head. Aroma is sour mash, weak fruit, sour wheat. Flavor is mineral water, hints of salt, maybe a melon like hint. Light body with weak pucker in the taste buds. As it warmed up the melon liquor notes gets overwhelming, not in a good way.

Bottle. Salted watermelon and light biscuit malt aroma. Straw color with small head. Lightly sweet watermelon, light salt and very mildly bitter straw flavor. Body on the light side. Pleasant.

Sample at Brass Tap Polaris. Pours a clear pale golden color with a medium thin fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of melon, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet lemon, herbal yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a short melon aftertaste. Decent overall.
