A full bodied porter that gets its dark luscious color from the generous use of roasted malts. We bring just enough hops to balance out the hefty malt backbone but leave the stars of the show to shine. You will get just the right amount of chocolate and peanut butter to question whether you’re drinking a glass of delicious suds or popping a peanut butter cup in your mouth.

12 oz. can, bought Oct. 16. Roasty malt smell as the beer pours. Close up, there’s also a lot of sweet chocolate smell. Solid black body with a thick head. Interesting, since I’d think peanut oil would kill head retention. Some peanut turns up in the nose after the first few sips. Starts out with a big chocolate taste, but swing further toward peanut butter, possibly with the sugar of peanut butter adding to the sweetness. Overall effects is, though, not really what I’d like in a beer. Reminds me of the Canfield’s Peanut Butter Fudge soda, which I just didn’t care for eaither. Knocking further points off for a nasty aftertaste.

can - very dark brown pour, smells of chocolate, peanut butter, and some roast malt. It’s sweet with the advertised chocolate and peanut butter apparent. Medium bodied. There’s some bitterness in the finish. It’s kind of artificial tasting as others have said, but it’s still rather good.

12oz can thanks to Toby. Dark brown pour, topped off with a beige head. Aroma is straight up Reese’s followed by some of the rich roast grains. Taste continues on with the chocolate and PB up front, not overly sweet, blends well with base style.

12oz can thanks to toby. Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is big peanut butter chocolate and some roast. Taste is more of the big peanut butter notes and some chocolate.

Can. Sweet milk chocolate and peanut butter aroma - like candy. Dark brown with a small tan head. Sweet milk chocolate, peanut butter, and bitter herbal hops flavor. Too sweet, and the hops clashes with the peanut butter. Medium body and carbonation. I’m not a fan.

Can. Going from the code on the bottom of the can, it was canned the 113th day of 2016.

Pitch black pour with a small head of foam that is tannish and long lasting.

The peanut butter is muchly more present than the chocolate and that suits me fine.

Peanut butter is 90% of the taste; the other 10% goes to dark chocolate that adds an ever so slight bitterness.

This is a cracker jack of a peanut butter Porter. 2nd favourite of mine; right behind the offering from Belching Beaver.

Horny Goat Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter 6.5% 55 IBU Can from Argonaut Liquor’s mix-6 pack section in Denver. This has a big roasty chunky peanut butter with underlying chocolate notes aroma. Medium and smooth bodied with great roasted peanut plus chocolate notes. A bit too sweet but fun.

Brown. This is surprisingly good. Huge hazelnut aroma. Rown color. Lots of peanut butter. Heavily carbonated. Good.

Can, thanks for sharing. Pours a near clear amber brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma is full of peanut butter with a dark grain note backbone. Flavor is also peanut butter forward with some earthy dark grain backbone.
