Bottle from Biermarket.de. Clear golden colour, white foam. Nose of sweet malts, light grainy. Taste is grainy, light sweet, malty. Well balanced and refreshing. Not a bad Helles.

Bei diesem Bier handelt es sich um ein Export und nicht um ein Märzen! Klares Goldgelb mit wenig feiner Perlage findet sich im Glas wieder. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich flaumig und ganz gut haltbar. In der Nase sehr hopfenbetont, etwas gummiartig mit einem leicht süßlich malzigem Charakter. Der Antrunk kommt angenehm spritzig und leicht getreidig-malzig. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich ein getreidig-malziges Bier mit einer etwas kräftigeren Würze. Hopfenaromatik spielt dabei kaum eine Rolle. Das Gesamtbild wirkt ziemlich einfach, nicht schlecht, aber die Erwartungshaltung ist dann doch etwas höher. Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind okay, aber in keiner Weise erwähnenswert. Alles bewegt sich irgendwo in einem durchschnittlichen Bereich. Im Abgang hält die Aromatik ganz gut an. Sowohl getreidig-malzig, als auch angenehm würzig. Etwas später kommt eine leicht trockene Hopfenherbe auf. So in der Art war es auch zu erwarten. Keine Besonderheit, aber auch kein schlechtes Bier.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours totally clear, very pale yellow with a slight, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with doughy biscuits, minimal bitterness, nips of straw, white bread, pale cereal. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, sweet but not cloying, more pale and doughy-bready biscuits, a faint hint of bitter straw. Mighty drinkable gear.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Label: 5.4% abv. Pours a clear light golden colour with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, grass, bread and a slight medicinal note. Taste has more of the same notes again, is sweet and has the medicinal and also a metallic note hanging around on the finish. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation on the palate and fairly oily mouthfeel. Not that great, too medicinal and metallic tasting. Will not seek out again.
