Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, fruits, hops, nuts and has a nice bitter finish.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 140918

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Nice in the glass with a lasting, rocky, off-white head over a clear copper coloured body, spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel and chocolate, inviting. Fine balanced taste of mid-sweet malts, moments of bread, caramel, and chocolate. A backdrop of herbal hops to a lightly roasted finish. Medium bodied. A nice one. (Tromsø 15.08.2018).

(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 17 July 2018) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with crisp-bread, dried fruit and orange peel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, orange, prunes, crisp-bread and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Brunt tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter syltetøy, noe nøtter og karamell. Middels- i fylde. Maltig smak. Søt karamell, lett sitrus og nøtter. Middels kang.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Mørkebrun. Uklar. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Aroma av mørke plommer & eik. Smaken litt sherryaktig med skog. Tørr avslutning.

0.33 l bottle from Drink Drunk shop, Berlin. Shared with Vlasta and Slow Maja. Murky brownish, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, nice fruity and spicy aromas. Nice malty, spicy background. Good balance. Sweet malty flavours with dry notes. Finishes dry. Light body. Good balance. Nice use of hops. Moderate carbonation.

Strange beast this one. Never had an Altbier so amped up with hops. Makes for a decent beer though. Lots of pine, and plenty of tobacco and leather, caramelized malt and rust - the kind of stuff altbiers tend to have. Tap at BRLO.
