Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, no head. Heavy malty stouty aroma. Starts intense malty-alcoholic, melasse, wood, syrup. Hints of cocoa, some coffee. Could maybe be a bit more balanced. Warming-malty finish. Interesting!

Bottle at Frisches, Munich, Friday 10th May 2019 in the company of Costas and Arthur Pours almost black with a tan head. I get the sherry but there is dark treacle, burnt wood. Good for not being too sweet, lots of bitter chocolate, a touch of worcester sauce finishes this off. Enjoyable beer.

Tasting @ Koelschtrinker's place. Fantastic smooth malty beginning. The Sherry is there, woody and round, refreshing with a deep malty back. Not as deep as it could be, refreshing and woody with deep caramel, dry, and a Sherry-woody aftertaste.

Mild süß malziger, eher trocken röstiger Beginn. Würzig herb, Karamell, vollmundig. Langer holzig-malziger Nachgeschmack, etwas Schokolade und Chili. 10/11/12/11/9/11

[Munich 2018] 330 ml. bottle split @ Frisches Bier. Black, solid coffee / mocha head. Nose is quite soy sauce, umami, chocolate. Low thinned out not heavily Oloroso with cake, chocolate, toffee, mocha, black forest cake & slab of soy sauce. Dash of soy sauce bit thinned out syrup body. Quite solid & nice but not on par with the Slyrs version & too expensive.

Bottle. Opaque darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is soy sauce, dry wood, light chocolate and char. Taste is the same, lots of umami, dry finish, light nuttiness, a bit sherry body there. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Solid, but too much umami for me - the Slyrs ones were better.
