30/VII/24 - 33cl bottle from Weyermann Living & Drinking (Bamberg, DE), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: 16/I/25 (2024-639)
Clear dark red brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, very chocolatey, caramel, sweet impression, a bit malty, hoppy touch, ok. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: malty, caramel, hoppy bitterness, soft roast, a bit sugary, alcohol. Aftertaste: more roast, caramel, some alcohol, bitter hops, a bit fruity, good one, really like it!

Dark brown, almost black. Nose of roasted malts, coffee, citrus, hops. Black IPA on the roasty rather than the hoppy side. Interesting.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel, a hint of roast and citrus in the aroma and flavor. Grassy, earthy hops. Sweet. Roasty citric finish with some tropical fruit.

Bottled 330ml. -from Weyermann Fan Shop Bamberg as Weyermann 2 on the label. Black coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, mild chocolate and whiff of hops in the nose. Light roasted malt, some chocolate and caramel touch of fruits and grass with mild hoppy notes in the finish. Not bad at all but sooo light overall.

[Bamberg 2018] Bottle sampled @ Café Abseits. Black, mocha bubbles. Nose is oddly sweet, grain, dark bark. Taste is dark berries, low yeast, bark, roasted, black bread. Fair as a beer but definitely not a DIPA to style.

Brown colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, coffee. Malty flavour, caramel, coffee, only a hint of bitterness. Finish coffee and caramel. Not bad, but not a black IPA for sure. Where are the hops?

Near black with a small off-white head. Malty aroma of toffee and grain, with a hint of licorice. Dry, hoppy flavour of citrus and pine with a mild roasted note, and a rather bitter finish.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 09/08/2014. Thanks to Jan. Caramel brown coloured pour with a loose greyish cream head. Aroma is wheaty grains, some jammy ftuits and caramel. Flavour is caramel malts, very soft touch of roast, pine and tangy lemon hop. Palate is grainy, medium sweet. Not a great black IPA.
