Hazy pale amber colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention and lacing. Aroma toasted malt, caramel, fruity undertone. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, fudge, grain. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, light peppery and woody notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, tasty, very nice. Of course not a 'classic' Alt.

Bottle at the brewer. Hazy red-amber with a pillowy head. Nose is cherries, caramel, light chocolate. Flavor is chocolate and caramel, fudge. Mostly rich fudge at first but it dries out near the finish with a bit of peppery hop chiming in. More like a bock.
