From a bottle 3 months past the expiration date. Pours brown from the bottle and leaves a full, frothy head that lingers and lingers. A sticky lacing clings to the glass. Lots of visible floating sediment. The aroma is caramel, butterscotch, and is inflected with a light artificial smelling sourness that reminds me of a candy (the name of which escapes me) that was popular in my childhood. Taste is caramel, honey, green tea, thyme. The finish grows tart then bitter, almost acrid in the aftertaste. Overall very interesting and quite quaffable even if a bit ... odd. Medium bodied. I never picked up the alcohol taste described in some reviews, and for me it remained well hidden. Good overall.
