Bottle. Pours a clear caramel amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of straw and grain with a bit of spice that comes through. Flavor is more bland with notes of straw, grain and bread.

From a bodega: Pours reddish copper with a white head. Aroma is caramel malt and some hop; where the yeast. Me not know. Anyway, there some sweetness. Light hoppiness. Not much Belgian. Much mediocre. Not terrible.

Refrigerrated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Pours light amber with big off white head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium/light body, medium/light carbonation, and little lacing. Tate is herbal hops and some caramel malt.

Part of their "Expressionist Collection" and enjoyed in Vegas. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head that stays long enough, creating some good patchy lace. Caramel aromas at first with some nice hop notes joining in eventually. Fruity malt taste with a little bitterness from the hop. Quite mild at first, but gets better as it breathes. Hints of nuts as well (not sure about the orange peel and hibiscus). A decent brew, but not getting any Belgian Ale yeast as it is written on label "Belgian-style Pale".

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear deep golden color. Aroma is a bit oxidized with a bit of cardboard, fruitiness and a bit of caramel. Sweetish flavor, a bit caramelly, fruity, with a bit of spiciness in the finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Clear copper body with an ample white head. Faint hop aroma. The flavor is lightly bitter, some cardboard with a slightly dry finish. I missed whatever hops are supposed to be here.

Malt-forward pale ale. Not sure where the Belgian idea comes through with this one. Pours pale blonde with minimal head and lacing. Some light hops, florals and lots of decent malt. Light palate overall. Average carbonation. Bottle.

Bottle drank on the Metro North railway on my journey into Manhattan. Pours perfectly clear copper with a fine, white foam head. Bready malt nose with generic ripening fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with a character defined mostly by bready malts, hints of toasty dough, soft caramel notes, slight bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more basic, bready malts, faint leafy hops, some lightly dried caramel, doughy brown bread. Simple beer but fine overall.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Giannone, 9/213

Aroma: The nose is on the light side, some caramel malts, spice notes, bread, and citrus
Appearance: A clear caramel-amber color with a small froth of beige head and decent lace
Flavor: The flavor is a little sweet, malty, some mild hops, and a bready finish
Palate: The body of this one is medium, and it has an okay, but not great, mouthfeel
Overall Impression: For a Blue Moon beer, this isn't that bad. So, that's about the nicest thing I could think of to say about this one... Anyway, this was an okay, forgettable beer.

I think the finish is the only place where it gets all Belgian-y. The bitter notes are not to my fancy but it's drinkable.
