We do love Imperial Café Racer. The combination of smooth espresso and Madagascan vanilla is just fabulous. However, allowing it to rest in Bourbon barrels for nine months and creating this amazing brew was definitely time very well spent!

On tap at Taphouse - CPH, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with the Buffalo Trace barrels upfront, with gentle roast in back. Flavour is along the same lines, with spicy bourbon barrels and medium roast. A little harsh but still rounded. Good stuff.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, paistry, bourbon, roasted malt, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, bourbon, milkchocolate, roasted malt, and paistry, leading to a dry finish. A bit OTT.

Very smooth. A nice amount of coffee, and an equally good bit of vanilla works lovely together, especially with the smooth and lightly roasted base. The barrels add some more sweetness and vanilla, making it all a very smooth coffee beer.

330ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Taste of strong bourbon, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, booze, some raisin and dark fruit. Medium body. Great beer but BA didn't improve the base beer, it's not as good. The bourbon here is so strong it's almost overpowering the vanilla and coffee.
