A true American style double IPA thumping in at a hefty 7.2% – very generously hopped with truckloads of American greenery – Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Summit on pale malts.
The Bunny is a collaboration brew with MoogBrew – a trendy little brewery in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. It was a chance meeting with MoogBrew at a beer festival. They said they had made a beer called Bastard Bunny… we immediately suggested a joint-brew under our Animal brand. Only Bigger. With Lots More Hops. The Bastard Bunny character is originally featured in the NME magazine - the guys from Moog are mates with Dave Anderson who created the character.

Cask at EBF XX, EUSC, 02/04/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is citric sherbets, lemon rind, straw, orange pith, bread dough. Taste comprises citric sherbets, tangerines, grassy, faint bread notes, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with light hop bitterness. Ok drinkable # but low end for style.

Cask gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Clear amber colour lasting bubbly beige head. Tangerine hop aroma. Tasty Citrus Orange flavour. Syrupy and strong. Good strong hop bitterness on the finish. I really like it. Lots of orange flavour. Tasty as hell. Lovely. Dry finish ok condition.

20th Egham Beer Fest. Cask. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light with good fine carbonation. Smooth malt base. Hops are floral and pine with a little hop spice. Light ripe citrus. Not bad but for a 7.2% IPA, light on hop punch.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the 20th Egham Beer Festival. Amber with a loose white head; big fresh piney aroma; full bodied and full of woody hops giving a light citrus taste; and a dry finish. Well balanced and very fresh tasting.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival Saturday 28th February 2015. A slight honey/syrupy consistency reasonable clarity with a good bitterness, actually it is bitter but the big sweet maltiness that underpins this threatens to outstay it’s welcome, I like this beer but wished for a little more from the hops. Interestingly I remember Bastard Bunny from my day’s as a weekly subscriber to the NME. I hope to see this again as I should like to re-rate at some point. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
