Tap at Mort Subite in Austin - hazy amber - thick lace - flavors of bourbon, oak, dark fruit, marzipan, vanilla - soft texture - earthy character - light tartness and not overly sweet, with well-masked alcohol - it’s delicious (and I’m glad it is, considering it was a 14 dollar pour).

Medium brown, froths up thick. Big fruity aroma, candied orange, figs, complex fruits. Soft body, quite sweet, light bourbon.
Lovely beer. Great sweet whisky body, dark figs, barleywine like. Gollem amstelstraat

Bottled (from Alko Web, At AIH147). Deep reddish brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is vanilla, oak, some dry fruits and mild spiciness too. Flavou ris fruity, some barrel, mild vanilla, alcohol and some slight spiciness.

Magus, linnaseline, suhkrune, alkone, nats vaati ka, aga üldiselt suhkur domineerib. Ok. Muidu maksab selle pudel circa 30E, siin sai klaasi 6.5€ kätte, seega kõvasti raha kokkuhoitud :D

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown with moderate head. Aromas of candi sugar, sweet dark fruit, oak, soft sweet bourbon, honey and dry toasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on sweet dark fruit and less on bourbon barrel. A bit of alcohol on the finish though. Quite good, but the result does not match the very high price.

75cl bottle from Kaffee Bazaar webshop. F: big, pale tanned, good retention. C: dark brown, clear. A: rich malty, bit vinous, dark fruits, spicy touch, cherries, apples, banana, red berries, woody. T: full malty base, light vinous, spicy, banana, pears, red berries, toffee, bit nutty, bit vanilla, chewing gum touch, woody, rum, more sugary than I expected and not so complex, medium to high carbonation, all together not such disaster here but bit overpriced, enjoyed for sure.

On tap in the excellent Den Toogoloog on 11th September 2022. More dark brown than 'black' in colour; seemed fairly clear rather than hazy, on top a smooth beige covering. Malty nose and flavour, semi-sweet caramel notes, some boozy esters and tastes too; nice!
