Saison brewed with honey, coriander & lemon verbena. Fermented with a mixed culture of classic saison yeast strains, wild yeast & bacteria. Post fermentation, the beer was conditioned in a stainless steel for 6 weeks, with its primary mixed culture. A third & final fermentation, completed this beer in a bottle. Pockets of Sunlight is a radiant saison full of crisp energy. Please cool before opening & pour with care, leaving sediment in the bottle.

Bottle (from Koht, doesn't gush, not sure what Phil & co did with their bottle...). Pours bright misty yellow with whiteish head. Aroma is very saison-y, yeasty, fruity, apricots, esthers, citrus. Flavor is sour, yeasty, fruits, lemon, some apricots, coriander. Body is watery. Finish is sour and watery. Bottle shared in Keystone - picked up at Mr. B's. Gusher! Pours hazy yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose has some Camembert rind in the nose - lots of it - some crispy hay, pale grains. Light sweet flavour with moderate acidity, more cheese rind, mellow bitter hay. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Drying finish, with some tart lemon, funny cheese peel notes, a little cracked wheat, crispy hay. Enjoyable overall.

Gusher. As expected. Small white head. Hazy opaque yellow body. Funky fruity herbal witch’s brew with sweaty socks and candy notes. One of a kind, really. Dry-acidic cardamom, oranges, and roquefort taste with astringent apple notes. Mid-bodied. Sharply fizzy mouthfeel. Dry sharpish wet sheep and mouldy cheese aftertaste with soda pop notes. A bizarre melange of flavours that in no way gels or harmonizes. Not sure I can finish this, to be honest. (About 0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen.)

This beer is a slightly cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of funky yeast, citrus, spice and malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, slightly tart citrus, coriander and malt. The finish is mildly funky and tart with a yeast and lemon aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draught @ BRUS, Guldbergsgade 29F, Copenhagen, Denmark 2200. [ As Jackie O’s Pockets Of Sunlight ].Clear medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, spicy, citrus, moderate yeasty, coriander, saison yeast, light honey. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, honey sweet, spicy, tart fruit, lemon - citrus, coriander. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170510] 7-3-7-3-15
