Brewed with 100% Citra hops that create aromas of mango, apricot, grapefruit & mandarin orange, along with a lasting, juicy, tropical fruit bitterness, the Baby-Faced Assassin is a deceptively quaffable India Pale Ale that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Can from the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold. Clear with very little head. Gooseberry, white grape and lemon biscuit in the sumptuous aroma. Sweet taste for an IPA with fruity hops and a bit of alcohol burn. Mild carbonation, which allows the full body to shine through. Man, this is well done. Understated yet bursting with character.

Can from M&S. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Citrus hops, tangerine and pineapple fruit, balancing rich tea malts and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

330ml can. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, grassy, weedy, big tropical citrus fruit, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, malt, fruity citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light, crisp and packed with fruit and bitterness. A very decent IPA.

Danke an minutemat. Klebriger, süß-herber Hopfenbeginn. Noten von Heu, wenig Alkohol, weich hopfig. Klebrig würzig bleibend, steigend herb, mittellanger Nachhall. Unscheinbar aber lecker. 10/8/10/9/8/9

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 23rd September 2018. Coppery amber with shallow off-white foam. Remote malty and hoppy aroma. Rich and intense grapefruit and grassy hoppiness in-mouth, and a smoothly hoppy, grassy finish. Full bodied with an engaging mouthfeel.

Third, cask ale at Purecraft Bar and Kitchen. Small sized white head. Next to clear amber-gold. Fair lacing. Dusty hops on the nose, mid-sweet. Taste of grapefruit and apricot, mid-sweet malt beneath. Rounded, mid-dry bitter fruity ending. Medium bodied. Quite pleased. (Birmingham 06.07.2018).

Can. Amber with a white head that fades to a good coat. Aroma of of kumquats, bread, butterscotch, pine. Just medium bodied, maybe I'm persuading myself that there is a slight slickness. Not all that sweet. Citrus. bread, butterscotch. Quite bitter and I guess that clean up the palate.
