Thx for organizing & hosing kraddel! 750 ml. bottle sampled. Clear old lambiek orange & head that doesn’t last at all. Nose is old vineous lambiek, massive amount of oak & hugely recognizable as Cantillon,… Old massive oak lambiek, dried orange taste, hay, old barn, not very sour, funk but more dirty old rusty funk, lots of oak, very interesting though it is virtually uncarbonated so it isn’t really a geuze in that way. It’s a really great Cantillon lambiek, def near the top of what I have had.

Pours clear blonde. Small white head fades instantly. Smell is intense, funky, tart, mild apples, cantillon funk in a premium shape. Taste is sharp, intense woody, funky, typical cantillon funk, in a quality that it rarely shows lately. VERY nice. Intensely tart, but still balanced. Appart from the fruited, or special barrel aged lambics, this might be the best cantillon I had to date.

1/IX/18 - 75cl bottle, shared with Marc @ home - BB: n/a (2018-1209) Thanks to Marc for sharing this bottle!

Clear orange beer, small white creamy head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very clean, rather fruity, lots of peaches and apricots, bit of an acidic impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: super fruity, nice acidity, very smooth, bit lemony, all yellow stone fruit. Aftertaste: soft acidity, lots of lemon juice, super fruity, peaches and apricots, tangerines, soft bitterness, some tannins.
