Can at home picked up from Tesco. A mostly clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a fading dark tan head/ fizz. Aroma is fizzy raspberryade, woody roast, berries, dark chocolate, woody. Flavour is composed of fizzy, woody roast, light metalic rusty penny, woody berries, earthy dried chocolate. Palate is fizzy, chalky, highish carbonation, light tang.

Can from Tesco Supermarket, Borehamwood. Black-brown with a thin head. The raspberry is noticeable amongst its fair strength, which makes it a little dense texture-wise, but not really that sweet, although there is some evident. Roasted malts are at their best in its aroma.

Can shared with the KL tasting crew. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a round bubbly light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, red berry fruits. The flavour is light sour, with a smooth, light chocolate, light tart raspberry palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Nice, this. Sharp raspberry, rich dark chocolate, loads of malt. And doesn't taste it's strength either.

Can from Tesco Danestone. It pours dark brown - black with a light tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, plenty of tangy raspberry action, sherbet, juicy, chocolate donut and éclairs. The taste is dry, tart, tangy raspberry, juicy, toasty, earthy, cacao, chocolate and a touch of burnt toast with a drying finish. Lighter end of medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. I really like the aroma, but the taste is dominated by tangy raspberry and a bit thin. Saying that it drinks fine and isn't as bad as some have suggested.

Can. Nose is roast, cherry coke, raspberry, jelly, thin black coffee, raspberry tea, straw. Taste is roast, dry raspberry, slight after taste of dark chocolate, raspberry tea, hint of cola. Chocolate becomes more pronounced as it opens. Don't understand where the donut comes in tbh. Thin and weirdly fizzy. It doesn't really work as nothing hangs together. The raspberry has a dry fruit tea quality which doesn't fit with the chocolate and stout elements. The base stout is too thin and lacks a robust chocolate. It is on the cusp of failed experiment and just plain bad.

Can. Tesco. Deep, reddy chestnut brown. Fine, beige head is leggy and lasting. Nose has Raspberry Ruffle chocolate. Some sweet vine fruit. Not too complex, but there’s chocolate and raspberry here, definitely. Taste has balanced raspberry sweetness and cocoa like bitterness. Light to medium body. A tad watery and a little too fizzy. Short, dry finish, with hints of raspberry and chocolate. Sets off good.
