Bottle at home. Dark brown color, deep dark red-brown glare coming through when held into the light, average sized tan head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, some caramel, dried fruit a bit, somewhat sweet. Don't really get any cognac tbh. Body is decent, texture is a bit thinnish, carbonation is medium. Hmm it's ok but the barrel aging imo was useless or at least didn't bring what it should have brought. Ok beer though. 6-4-7-2-12

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is warm, krachtig en zoet met iets van drop, anijs en zoethout. Helaas komt de cognac niet echt naar voren.

Sampled at zythos 2018. Thnx for sharing, everyone! Pours unclear copper brown. Smell is woody. Bit booze. Some caramel. Taste is caramel. Chocolate malts. Roasty. Surprisingly roasty for its ebc value. Bit boozy. Hidden cognac notes.

Bottle. Hazy brown color with beige head. Aroma is cognac booze, raisins, brown sugar, straw. Taste is straw, raisins, brown sugar. Silky mouthfeel with high carbonation. A bit too dry/strawy.

330 ml. bottle shared on train post ZBF 2018 with SinH4. Dark brown, ugly looking. Nose is no real barrel, roots, roast, liquorice, bark. Taste is BE dark fruits, roast, could be bit thicker, low alcohol, grainy, roots, sugar, Be fruits. Fair classical BE styled beer, not much difference between the version & didn’t get any real BA here.
