This naturally cloudy “Frühlingsbier” is bottled unfiltered, one of the results being that the beer retains many natural, protein, hops and yeast elements. The fine, natural cloudiness and the flowery-yeast aroma allow the beer-lover to anticipate the richness of taste that this refreshing, very drinkable beer offers, a beer that is also thoroughly distinguished by a pleasantly bitter sensation. From a nutritional-physiological view it must also be emphasized that this beer makes a significant contribution to good health with its vitamin and mineral-rich yeast content. From the beginning of March, beer enthusiasts can enjoy this seasonal Ayinger beer specialty for a brief period.

Bottle. It's almost clear in the glass, golden to pale golden in color, with a creamy, two-finger off-white head. Lovely lacing. The aroma is mostly fruity, but there's also a delicious maltyness. Grains, hay, some grass, a sweetish touch and hints of piney, peppery hops. It's medium to full-bodied, softly carbonated and a bit sweet on the palate, with a light bitterness in the back. Like the aroma, the flavor is mostly fruity, but there's more room left for the malts in the flavor. It's a bit more malty-sweet than I prefer, but I sure ain't complaining. Long soft, smooth and tasteful finish. Nice. 240318

Bottle. Faintly hazy gold with an inch of white head that fades slowly. 3+ Aroma of the meadow. Light bodied. Leanish with hayish malt and a decent smack of slightly spicy bitterness. Plain but good.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear, pale yellow with a foamy, white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of doughy white bread, low bitterness, some cereal, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fresh doughy biscuits to finish. Easygoing.
