Keg at the brewery tap. Pours clear dark brown with a frothy beige head. The nose mixes milk chocolate and creamy vanilla. Medium to big sweet flavour with well toasted bread, more gooey vanilla, mellow earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with more creamy chocolate, oily vanilla. Fun one.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown-black with a creamy beige head. The nose holds moderate roast, vanilla, cocoa. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with lots of oily vanilla, gooey chocolate, light scorched earth bitterness, some raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with sticky burnt sugars, milk chocolate, loads more vanilla, baking cocoa, dark fruits. Very tasty, and quite drinkable. But perhaps a touch too much vanilla. Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours clear, deep brown with a tan cream head. The aroma holds light chocolate, vanilla, mild roast. Medium sweet flavor with more vanilla, some earthy bitterness, milk chocolate, dark sugars. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with some alcohol kick, earth, lingering vanilla impressions. Nice. (6 December 2015, score: 3.4)

And so it came to pass that six like minded people met on the 20th day of November in the year of 2016: those six people shared twenty five fine beers. .75cl bottle (#589 of 816 produced). A beige head sat on the murky brown body, aroma was of a Vanilla Milk Shake with chocolate flaked on top. Taste followed the same lines, a coffee trace in the flavours also: decent.

Bottle 589 @ Rich’s 7k tasting. Pours dark hazy brown, small cream coloured head. Aroma is subtle vanilla and chocolate. Taste is oily, oaky with a soft vanilla sweetness, some dark fruits. Not blowing me away.

Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours black, nose is chocolate, coffee, vanilla, taste is similar, sweet, a little thin.

ChrisO Tasting. Clear deep red - amber beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, a little creamy sweetness. Mildly tangy fruits. Touch of wood. A tad underwhelming.
