Bottle. Deep amber/brown body. Fizzy off-white head, diminishing to pools. Yeasty aroma of mustiness. Notes of candy sugar, spice, caramel, overripe dark fruits. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of dark fruit, warming alcohol, plum. Hop bitterness emerges at the end. Not a big fan of this brewery, but this is a good beer.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours brown with crimson highlights and small beige head. Some lacing, thick body, low carbonation, and molasses & dark fruit aroma. Taste is dark fruit, candied sugar, and a hint of molasses.

12 oz. bottle, pours a purple-ish dark mahogany with zero head - looks almost flat. Aroma of plum, raisins, treacle toffee, and candied sugar. Flavour is cloyingly sweet with candied sugar above anything else, with some toffee and dried dark fruits further beneath, but overtaken by the sugar. Finishes sweet and boozy, though the alcohol is well-hidden for being nearly 12%. Way too sweet.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Caramel, toffee, raisins, plenty of candy sugar, pears, dark cherries, Belgian yeasty nose. Caramel, burnt sugar, candy sugar, toffee, dark fruits, raisins, dark belgian ale flavor. Somewhat roasty, dark candy sugar, caramel aftertaste. A littler thick mouth feel but quite smooth. Booze is hidden very well. Overall a really well done, very tasty quad! I’m a sucker for well done quads like this.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and dry raisins is enjoyable. Taste is a nice enough mix between some brown sugar notes with some notes of dry fruits. Body is not completely full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad overall with nice drinkability factor but lacking some complexity for the style.

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma has some yeasty tones, bubble gum, banana, and clove, with some raisin and earthiness as well and some alcohol. Starts yeasty with bubble gum and cloves, earthy and nutty flavors, but kind of a vegetal tone in there as well. Rubbing alcohol is also fairly apparent. Flavors are decent, but just too much unmasked alcohol.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours cognac with a good creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of herb/vinous. Full bodied. Very smooth. Starts with dark malt, dark fruit, and then berry! There’s heat, but it’s warming rather than disturbing. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown with a slight amber hue and an off-white head that dissipated completely. Aroma has a good amount of dark fruit with some sweet grains, a bit of caramel and a hint of toffee. Flavor was similarly sweet with dark fruits, caramel and toffee as well as a bit of floral note. The beer was a bit sweet but solid.

Bottled. A red beer with some sediment floating around under an orangey head. The aroma has notes of spices, caramel, yeast, malt, and candy sugar. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, candy sugar, malt, and spices, leading to dry yeasty finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
