Bottle at L6, thanks to LKS. It pours clear dark amber with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, sugary, honey, sponge cake and toasty notes. The taste is sweet, dry, bitter, oily, grass, green, weedy, booze, caramel, toffee and brown bread. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Ok, but a bit lacklustre overall.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Leighton, 22/05/18. Lightly hazed amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is dusty hops, caramel, light spice, citric tinged straw, fruit esters. Taste comprises orange peel, bread dough, light pine needle, pinch of white peppery spice, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Passable number ... a little muddled.

Slightly waxy, leafy, hoppy aroma, a touch of tobacco, nutty malty background with a touch of hazelnut, green wood. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, slightly nutty, minimally waxy, slightly fruity and leafy hoppy, hints of cherry and red berries, a touch of green wood and hazelnut.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Offie and Toffee. Pours clear, deep amber with a creamy, off-white head. Well toasted malts in the nose, some ripe orange, pine. Medium sweet flavour with more well toasted bread, a little cocoa, ripe citrus, grass, pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Resinous finish, a little toasty note, burnt caramel, toast, bread, orange, pine. Not bad.

Bottle. Amber with an off white head. Aroma of marmalade-like citrus - kumqat and grapefruit - caramelised nectarines and more toffee. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Leans sweet with hops accenting malt. Moderate bitterness. Hung together OK this late, but as a novelty it's a bit off the usual PKB standard.
