Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, full sized creamy white head that lasts for quite some time. Smell and taste malts, light to moderately bitter, lightly herbs. Average body and carbonation. Decent.

"Mahrs Bock-Bier", Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding, 28.3.2014. - Goldgelb.

Drought. Light amber with whitish creamy head, no specific aroma, low carbonation, thin body, sugary-caramel taste mixed with a spicy flavor, medium finish ending with a bit of bitterness. Not a great brew, too sugary for my taste.

Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht fruchtig süß, getreidig.

500ml Bottle: BBD 21 Apr 14, poured into a Hannen Alt tumbler (three times) at home on 23 Feb 14. Brought back from Berlin to drink at leisure. Golden and bright body, clear and clean looking: good snow white foaming head that hangs around for a while. Light malty nose with a bready like hint. The taste was also malt led, again with a bread yeastiness: nothing exciting or bold, but a good solid light coloured Bock with enough alcohol and flavour to keep me interested. Better than average and worth finding: dirt cheap in Germany too.

On tap @ In De Wildeman. Crystal clear golden color. Dense white head. Aroma’s of caramel (malt), grassy hops, grain, hints of fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, some fruit. Medium bodied. Finishes with a subtle bitterness. Good - but I expected a dunkler Bock...

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of adnielsen. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Sweet malty nose - perhaps a tad oxidized. Solid malty body, sweet malty goodness with only a discreet hoppiness. Nice and solid - if unsophisticated. But a good one. 250313

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with bread, grassy hops, a touch of honey and some citrus. Malty taste with notes of bread, tropical fruit, hints of citrus and a certain grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with some malt sweetness. Quite tasty with a fresh hop character. Nice one.
