Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Scent is very watercress-like, for some reason? Lambic-like malty aroma (not the tartness, brett, funk or bacteria ) Taste is sharp, rather bitter. Full, very estery finish. Not overly banana though. Medium body. Rather high carbo, very strange and unique !

21/XI/23 - 33cl bottle @ HoReCa Expo 2023 (Gent), BB: n/a (2023-1101) Thanks to Erwin, Peter a.o. for sharing today’s beer!

Clear blond orange beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: banana, yeasty, a bit herbal, more yeast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, lots of overripe banana, bitter touch, meh. Aftertaste: bitter, a bit malty, metallic touch, more banana, bleh. Pretty boring, I don’t like it.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert. Pours a hazy dark amber colour with a medium sized thick foamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity with some caramel, bread and biscuits. Taste is spicy and sweet with some warming alcohol. Stoney fruits also present and also a little smoky and sour note. Slight tang on the finish. Thin to medium body with average carbonation. Decent enough balance. Quite an interesting beer. Not a typical Tripel to what I’m used to. Not bad.

33cl bottle from Cora in Brussels. F: medium, egg-white, average retention. C: amber, hazy. A: rich malty, mellow fruity, bit red berries, vinous touch, toffee. T: full malty base, mellow fruity, honey, caramel, red berries, grainy touch, spicy, warming alcohol, ok yet ABV is quite obvious here, partially enjoyed.
