Ice cider. ABV will vary significantly from one vintage to another. Malus Danica is a cryo-concentrated cider, containing apple varieties Ingrid Marie Cox Orange, Filippa, Fiery Pigeon, Elstar and Jonagold. Each apple variety was picked at optimum ripeness and immediately pressed into must. This must was then frozen in a cold storage. The freezing and subsequent thawing at 0 degrees outside, concentrated the musts to a viscous apple syrup which slowly cold fermented in the winery for 12 months. The result is an intense apple experience with high acidity and syrupy apple sweetness that fills the mouth with flavor and surprise. Malus Danica should be enjoyed chilled, 5-8 degrees, for good cheese, dessert or just as an experience in itself.

375ml bottle pours out golden no head. Nose is great nice sweet apples some light booze and a nice tartness. Taste is great big caramel sweet apple and some light tartness.

375 ml clear and corked slimline bottle, vintage 2018, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, as usual at an outrageous price. ABV is 9.5%. Beautiful cognac colour, no carbonation. Pleasant aroma of concentrated apple juice and oak. Sweet flavour, concentrated apple juice / cider and oak again, delicious.

As Malus Danica 2016, 12%. Clear golden, no head. Apple, apple pie aroma, a little vanilla. Sweet flavour, apple, fermented apple, lovely alc warmth, slightly acidic finish. Very nice.

Solsletta 311220 as Malus Danica 2016 9,5 %. Golden color wth no head. Apple, alcohol. Flavor is apple, alcohol, sugar.Very nice one.

9/5/2020. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear dark amber with minimal head. Aroma of sweet toffee apple, pastry and light wood. Medium sweetness and moderate tartness. Sticky texture, low carbonation. Lovely tart finish. Extremely drinkable.

375ml bottle Vintage 2016 (12%) courtesy of Saxo and Rasmus via Grumbo, cheers guys! Amber gold colour, no head and aroma of concentrated apple, apple pie, pastry. Taste is sweet, fruity apple, tangy & tart, apple pie, apple syrup, with woody, apple core and tannin hints. OIly mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet & drying finish. Very sippable.

RBHD-samling hos RB-Bryne, og etter 10 gode ratinger på det overbevisende Brix Brygghus er vi nå gang med å gi gass for alvor. Med Lindheim Farmer's Reserve Pure, etterfulgt Toppling Goliath Fire, Skulls & Money befant vi oss langt inne i komfortsonens hovedmanesje, og så kommer verten trekkende med denne! 0,375 flaske av meget elegant utseende, og innholdet matchet forventningene: intens og lekker, superkonsentrert aroma og smak av pærer og epler av ulike slag. Vi nøt den i små dråper gjennom hele kvelden. En höjdare som gjorde inntrykk på oss alle.
