44cl can from Etre Gourmet web shop. F: thin, tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: chocolate, dried fruits, spicy, gingerbread, nutmeg, cinnamon, rum soaked raisins. T: full malty base, chocolate, raisins, nutmeg, cinnamon, gingerbread, warming alcohol, decent bitterness, may be too spicy but it was the aim here so ok for the style, fully enjoyed.

Can from Deconinck. Cloudy black, thin, beige head. Aroma of clove, gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, biscuit, mocha, fig, raisin, chocolate chips. Taste has sweet fig & raisin, soon overthrown by powerful gingerbread & spices galore (clove, cinnamon, vague cardamom perhaps), in a chocolatey-biscuity, bit toasty body. Herbal hoppy finish, quite dry-spicy, touch of vanilla, lingering gingerbread, speculoos & chocolate, with warming alcohol hinting at whisky. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Big, spicy (rather than Pastry) Stout, good but slightly overdone.

Can picked up at BeyondBeer Webshop, Hamburgand consumed at home Friday 14th August 2020 listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music. Pours black with a light tan head. Wow this is a beast. Cinammon, ginger, chocolate all slug it out across the nose and mouth. Sweet but far from cloyingly so, wow this is a dessert in a can, really good.
Taster. Too sweet for my taste buds. But my wife dugs it.. A lot !

Black, sliver of light foam. Big ginger smell at first, closer in the vanilla and nutmeg starts coming through. Smooth mouthfeel. Taste is way more balanced than smell suggests. Bittersweet. Nutmeg and vanilla first, ginger at the end. Gingerbread!

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black. Ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate, sweet, very spicy, full-bodied, alcohol. Too spicy.

At home during lockdown week 1. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of big Christmas spices, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, cardamom. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
