Imperial Brown Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Toasted Coconut Added
This is our bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale, Mash, stretching to new levels. Mash & Coconut features nearly 400lbs. of toasted coconut per batch, which ratchets up the complex, native coconut character and complements the oaky and vanilla notes that are imparted to the beer as part of its extensive maturation in bourbon barrels.

On tap at Goblet Zagreb. Dark amber/brownish coloured, no head at all, sweet caramel and spicy nose. Sweet malty, caramel, toffee, some alcohol and mild dried fruits with noticable coconut presence. Spicy finish.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a large dark brown foamy head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, residual sugar and strong coconut notes. Taste is also a mix of strong coconut notes with some woody bourbon notes and some coconut notes with quite a bit of residual sugar notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Intense but enjoyable when shared with friends.

0,75 flaske på Mi2 Cardinal okt-19: brunlig kobber med ok skum. Bounty sjokolader, marsipan, kakaopulver, fylte kjeks med appelsinsjokolade. Heldigvis noe bærsyre som balanserer alt det søte. Saftig og meget smakfull. Dangerously drinkable.

Tap @ Pien, Helsinki. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Coconut obviously, malts and sweetness. Bit boozy with malts, coconut, sweetness and vanilla. Long finish.

750ml pours a hazy caramel brown. Nose has caramel, whiskey, coconut, marzipan. Flavor is big with brown sugar and coconut cake, marzipan, booze, caramel, whiskey. Sticky finish. 7 4 7 4 14

On tap at Trail's End. Pours a clear, dark, brown color, with a big, bubbly, beige head. Immense toasted coconut, vanilla, allspice, and cocoa. Sweet and syrupy, with a mild boozy finish. Heavy body, with a syrupy, sharp mouthfeel. This is a decadent, focused, and delicious beer.

Small pour at Half Barre. Mahogany brown. Nose is bourbon barrel and coconut. Tastes of coconut, vanilla, oak, bourbon, booze, raspberry. Thinner palate than imagined.
