33cl bottle from Carrefour market @ in Tervuren near Brussels. F: medium, white, average retention. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, sweet mellow fruity, pear, apples peels, honey, woody touch. T: medium to full malty base, mellow fruity, pear, red apples peels, honey, woody touch, peach, decent bitterness, medium to high carbonation, obviously oak woody chips used here, ok drinkable yet lack any complexity as I expected.

Ultradense, medium height head, darker cream-coloured, very stable over deep redbrown beer with orange highlights. Bit gassy nose, melanoidins, coloured malts, bit of wood, plywood. Quite dry, even wry, with a distinct sweet-sourish finish. Again mainly dark malts, even chocolate malt; mild roast, and chocolate notes throughout. Light yeast, bitter(ish) almonds. At least medium bodied, very well-carbonated, viscous-slick. In the end again a typical Gordon beer: a good idea, but too neutral, common denominator intended... I Thanks to Hans B! /I

At Café Cambrinus, Bruges. Shared with Anke!
Pours hazy dark brown with a red hue and a small, off-white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains sugar, butterscotch, dark fruits, licorice, faint hops, some plastic - something weird in any case. It tastes medium sugary sweet and light hoppy bitter; shortish, alcoholic finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. No idea what the point of this is; I'll stick with their Finest Scotch and X-Mas beer, they're fair enough.

Pours clear, darker amber, big white head. Stable foam. Smell is weak, bit grainy. Tad sweet, Taste is sweet, sugar, caramel, maltsyrup, caramel, sticky. Minor bitterness, no oak whatsoever. Some minor vanilla notes. Not the worst gordon (by far) . Yet still well below an AVG beer
